Transport hire
You can also rent a bicycle, scooter, or motorbike if the segway doesn't look like your kind of thing. They are just as safe and the roads or so smooth here that it isn't really important which method of transport you use to get the best views of the area.

Re. Remember to bring your passport
Hello, I am from this area. It's actually last divided capital city in Europe. Maybe even world, I'm not so sure! Is nice to see but please be careful around that place!

The best way to see Nicosia
The last place I expected to find a station with such an English name as Segway was in a Mediterranean country such as Cyprus but there it was right in Nicosia. Rather than an old train station or coach station though, I found it was the headquarters for these unique scooter-like vehicles. There are numerous tours that you can take around Nicosia by getting on these contraptions but now my kids want one each!

Remember to bring your passport
I know that taking your passport out and about with you on holiday can be a bit risky - especially if something ends up happening to it, but it is more than essential for the Ledra Street Border Crossing, a unique point of interest. This is the border between Cyprus and Turkey and makes the Mediterranean's last divided capital.

Striking views
I went on the Segway Tour and all the rest of it but my favourite place along the way was the Buyuk Han. It's easy to find just over two miles from Nicosia centre and I found it to be incredibly memorable and lively. Some even call it an oasis!
